Type "military spouse" into google and some sites with good advice are listed. Following that advice would help. I was a military enlisted "brat"; we moved 5 times before I entered the 1st grade. My dad was overseas (without us) for years. Back then military spouses had absolutely nothing and enlisted were paid next to nothing. Times have changed as the military has become more family friendly. Back in the '60's men were discouraged from being married! In 1967, an E-3 got the same BAQ for dependents or no dependents. Having a kid got you an extra $30 per month. Officers got an extra $25 per month to have any dependents.
