HAIRCUTS @ OBC

I have seen too many officers reporting to OBC needing haircuts. They have to be told to go and get a haircut. Proper hair length is in the regs.

My view is if you don't show up with a proper haircut one should be provided for you...and it may not be as stylish as you would like.

Somebody is not communicating to officers prior to OBC. It's a fact that many officers need a lot of guidance. Officers who know the standards shouldn't be shy about letting colleagues know they are not up to snuff. I see a lot of people "wing it" when all they need to do is go to dcp.psc.gov and look it up.

  3. I agree with this. I also think that the ladies' hair needs to fall within regulation as well.

Brings back memories of Army boot camp. We had two choices; the "long" or the "short" haircut. Nobody opted for the long cut but we all sure did need some sort of a cut when we got off the bus.
