New officers should be required to (actively) participate in PT exercises on day 1 of OBC. This would be for baseline numbers. Then they should have to (actively) participate in a second PT exercise toward the end of OBC. This will encourage officers to begin getting in shape (like the other uniform services recommend) before arriving at OBC. Officers would still have the option of using the second score for readiness requirements or returning to their Duty Station to complete the PT readiness standards.

PT should be required daily at OBC. Its a great way to start the morning.
Some logistics are involved, possibly. Would timing and available shower and locker facilities be a problem? I agree this should be done if at all feasible. It will set officers in the right direction.
I think it could be squeezed in. Maybe not every day, but more than the one morning it gets.
I like the everyday suggestion, but I am not sure it is feasible. It is feasible for the 1st and last day of OBC. Officers have personal rooms where they can shower and change.
